5 Things for your to do list near Los Angeles

Are you planning to travel to California?

Look no further, I have a list of unique experiences to try if you travel near the LA area! My list includes places to eat, adventures to take on and an awesome spot to stay at. These are all included in my personal journey in LA. Make sure to check out my travel vlog at the end of this blog to see these all in action!

Enjoy!

Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles

Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles

This spot is well known in California. It is soul food spot that you must go to if you visit the state. Of course, they are famous for their chicken & waffles. I tried the Obama Special and it was DELICIOUS! If you are not a fan of just chicken & waffles, there is more to the menu. They also serve breakfast food, sandwiches, salads and more!

In-N-Out Burger

In-N-Out Burger

This is another staple to try! The theme of the fast food spot gives major old school vibes. The burgers are simple but quite yummy.

Thinking about their burgers and fries are making my mouth water. Mmm mmm mm!

Malibu Wine Safaris

Malibu Wine Safaris

This was such a fun adventure. We had a wine tasting intertwined with a safari tour where we got to feed and pet animals. Fun fact, Geoffrey the Giraffe from Toys R’ Us lives there. This is also great for lovers of beautiful scenery’s. The winery is in Malibu on top of mountains providing a gorgeous view. This was definitely worth the money.

Let’s Goat Hike

Let’s Goat Hike

If you are up for a slight workout with some furry friends, then this is for you! Not many people can say they have hiked with goats. This is an Airbnb experience that is out of this world. It’s located in a sort of remote location. That makes it very interesting on it’s own. The host is from France and gives a very different vibe than you would get in Cali. The hike isn’t super intense but also not too easy. There are slight climbs but overall not a very steep hike. Last but not least the goats make it such a great adventure. The goats were very nice and great hiking companions. I would definitely do this again!

The Castle House Estate

The Castle House Estate

If you are looking for a remote adventure, try glamping! We rented a yurt in Joshua Tree. We were able to have a camping experience that was set up and ready for us once we arrived. The grounds where it is located is very nice and luxurious for camping. Inside of the yurt it was set up with some things you would find in a hotel. There was a bed with sleeping bags for colder temps (it was freezing at night), a light lamp, chairs and more. There was a fire pit outside of our yurt and a community outdoor shower. This was an experience of a lifetime and a great opportunity to see the stars and a beautiful sunrise. I would definitely recommend.

Still curious?

Check out my YouTube vlog on my trip to California where we visited all of these places. You will find that we thoroughly enjoyed them all. There is also some lagniappe that you will see as well. Good luck on planning your trip and if you aren’t going anywhere I hope you enjoy living through mine!
